Android App Frozen While Updating

Yesterday I downloaded the Android app and everything seemed to go well until I received the following message: "Monument device software needs to be updated. Please wait for the download to complete" I left it on all day and all last night. Woke up this morning and it is still on that same screen. I tried reinstalling and ran into the same problem.
